This morning as I was praying, God kept on speaking to me that change is coming.  This change?  What does this mean?   God is changing my heart.   He is restoring all of the broken areas.  He is washing everything clean.  He is cleansing the filth and making a new heart within me.

Please listen to this song.  It’s 18 minutes long, so just listen to it.  Misty Edwards is a worship artist from the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Missouri.   God speaks through her quite often to me, so this probably will not be the first time you see me post something from her.  Do something else, if you need to and have it on as background noise, but I think it’s pretty impactful.   We tend to think that God has this one plan set aside for us, and sometimes we can’t stop thinking our plan is actually God’s plan.   My prayer for you during this time is that God would speak to you about His heart for you, just as He has for me.   My life isn’t perfect.  In fact, it’s hard, however knowing the truth of what God has and is saying about me, makes life so much better.

Keep running the race marked out for you, dear child.   Keep on going.  Do not let anything distract you.  Do not let anything take your focus off of Me.   I love you, Son.  I love you, Daughter.   Do you not realize how valuable you are to Me?  You are worth far more than rubies and worth much much more than gold.   You are Mine and you have been bought with My Son’s blood.   You mean something to Me.

Be encouraged, everyone!

  1. Rachel,
My husband and I got to spend some time with you in Romania during our PVT. My son is Cabe Stanford. I have been following your journey and transition. This blog is awesome!

    I adore the word “CHANGE”
I am somewhat of a grammar freak thus I love to analyze words in their various forms. When used as an intransitive verb, the word “change” means:
To become different: (e.g. caterpillar into butterfly)
To pass from one phase to another: (e.g. moon)
To shift one’s means of conveyance; (e.g. while on a bus he had to change twice)
To undergo transformation, transition, or substitution (winter becoming spring)

WOW! Does this not describe you perfectly? Your Father spoke simple words unto which you obeyed. Through your surrender you have changed and continue to do so.
Think about it. How many times did you change modes of transportation to get to where you are currently? How many phases of emotions have you undergone?

You are currently in your transformation stage. Although cocooned within a secure place, the caterpillar is also in a state of complete solitude. She feels that no one understands or cares. But soon she springs forth into a bright world.

Know this, Rachel, you are not alone! His transforming presence, His comforting warmth, and His omnipotent authority surrounds you.
In this moment you are nestled safe and secure exactly where you belong.
Keep watching for more CHANGE beautiful butterfly!
    Love you!
