I have always longed for the day that I could say hello to my new home.  You know a place to call my own.   It's coming up really soon here!  I have a little less than a month before I am in Romania for what seems like good.

Now time to inform....There's a lot happening!   I'm leaving for Romania September 9th as some of you probably know.   I've been selling my college textbooks to try and earn a little bit of cash, as well as selling my car and my bike.  Truth is I feel like God has asked me to sell everything and live with the basics.  I mean what else do I need.  I have a means for getting an income, as well as a place to stay, food and clothing.  God has protected me and always will.

I couldn't be anymore excited to start this journey starting September 9th.  I haven't shared this with many people, but the dreams that I have for Romania are starting to happen.  God is turning these hopes and prayers into realities.  When I was in Romania for 3 months (September-November 2012), I prayed asking God for there to be a partnership between Adventures in Missions and Hope Church.  I KNEW it was going to happen, but it was just a matter of time.  I also said yes to being in whatever role God would ask me to do in the future.  I KNEW that God was doing something with these two ministries and when I was asked to consider being the base leader, I immediately said "yes."  It was exactly a year after I had prayed the prayer (to God and had not revealed it to anyone else) that God revealed to me something was happening in Draganesti-Olt through Facebook.

I also want to share this dream with you.  I am so excited to share this with you, because I feel like God has this as well as many other things planned for Draganesti.  I have a HUGE heart for Romanian children.  Romania has a lot of kids!  They seem to populate the streets some days and my heart grows for them all the more.  With that being said, there are kids who need to know their value.  They're not worth the amount they make or how they make it.  No, God has created each and every one of them and each of them possess something different.  These children have identities as sons and daughters of The Living God.  They need to know this!  I don't know if you realized this or not, but 97% of the country believes there isn't hope.  Yep, that's right...is NOT hope.  If this is what kids believe, then how is this going to change unless someone invests in them....unless someone sits down with them one-on-one and loves them for who they are.

Just meditate on this for a minute....how amazing would it be if there was a place for children to come and be themselves, while learning about their true identity?  How would this change the villages in and around Draganesti?  How would this then progress to changing the culture of their classrooms?  And ultimately their country?  Yeah, let's just say that God's up to something big.  He's sick of the despair and depression in the country.  He never intended it to be this way.  He died so we could live to the full!  He's getting ready to bring revival and change!

STAY TUNED TO THE NEXT BLOG ABOUT HOW THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND WHAT THIS "PLACE" LOOKS LIKE.  IT'S GOING TO BE GOOD!
