Why hello there, everyone!

Merry Belated Christmas!   I pray and hope your Christmas season has been merry and joyful.   It was such a blessing to have my mom here for this Christmas.   I didn’t realize how much I missed her until after she had left yesterday.   Mom, I love you and miss you already.   It was a good Christmas.   She was able to see what all I do here and where I live.   As well, she met my Romanian family.   It’s been an encouragement to see the way that my family here has bonded with my family in America, even within one short week.   Praise God for both families and the bond that has been formed.

So last time I blogged, I told you I would tell you what I’m supposed to do here in Draganesti.   Well, after prayer and discussion, I’m called to the youth.   Yep, I believe the Lord has fashioned and created me to equip and call up the next generation of radical believers.   If only the youth here in Draganesti and Southern Romania would understand that Jesus has so much for them, there would be a fire to be put out!

I’m not sure if I have mentioned this or not, but many parents, especially fathers, will leave Draganesti in search of work.   Most of them end up in other countries, where the economy is much better, which in therefore they are able to make more.  From there, they send the money home to provide for their families.   I believe that in this time, their children feel fatherless.   Yes, their fathers still love them, but it’s crucial for them to know THE love of THE Father.

I will tell you, as a child who had experienced divorce, I knew what it felt like to not experience God’s love.   I knew the pain and sorrow that it brought.   But, friends, what I have learned is that regardless of how hard this pain was, God had a reason for it.   The reason: to lead His young children back to Him.

I don’t know the exact steps that I’m supposed to take, however I do know that it starts with one.  It starts by being a friend to them and pressing in for them in prayer.  Please join me in prayer for the girls I want to mentor.   Their names: Maria (13), Alina (16), Bianca (16), Mariana (17) and Ellie (19).   I praise God that He has already given me relationships with these girls.  Please pray for God’s words to come straight from my mouth and to be received in their hearts.

I want to leave you with something.   I feel like 2015 is something new, not just for me, but for Draganesti.   God wants to meet the youth, but it starts within the leaders who will be leading them.   It starts within me and possibly a few other Americans moving to Draganesti.   (More to come on this…)

This song is my song for 2015:   I feel like God is speaking very loudly in it.  Happy New Year’s everyone!   My prayer is that 2015 will be the best year you have had yet and that it would be a year, in which you look back and see how much you’ve grown!

Here’s to 2014!
