Throughout The World Race and even here in Romania, there has been a specific lesson God walks me through each month.  I know on the Race, I walked through forgiveness, control, pride…here in Romania, the same thing is happening.  Month 1 I learned how to let God have my heart completely, Month 2 I learned how to move as the Spirit moves and Month 3, I am now learning that in all circumstances, God will provide for those He loves.

This past week, I started to journal about how God has been providing with me being here in Romania.  I recalled God saying before I left, “Just take care of the plane ticket, I’ll take care of the rest.”  That’s what He’s been doing.  Since I’ve been here, God keeps blowing me away by the way He keeps giving and giving and giving.  I have free housing…I have been blessed by a missionary here to be living in her house taking care of her dogs.  What I did not expect from her was to give me 100 RON each time she left.  That’s around $30/week that she’s gone.  That’s money I no longer need to raise support for.

God takes care of those who trust in Him.  If you place your trust fully in the Lord, He will satisfy your needs and your desires.  I know my next decision may not make sense to the world.

I have applied to work at a local church-there are no benefits with this job.  I would only get 20 hours a week and it’s probably not excellent pay either.  However, if I do get this position, I would have community, a job where I would be working in the ministry, and most importantly following the call from Our Father.  With loans, this job makes no sense.  However, in my heart..I can only say, God has something in store for me.  It’s bigger than money or insurance or even Madison, Wisconsin.  I do not know what it is yet, but I’m positive that this something is something good.

It’s cool to me to think that God loves us so much that He won’t stop providing for us, because we messed up once or even 100 times.  No, our God cannot be described in a matter of words, because we cannot fully grasp how good our God is.

I was listening to music today and right as soon as I started journaling, this song came on.  “Nothing I Hold On To” by Will Reagan and United Pursuit.

I lean not on my own understanding,My life is in the hands of the maker of heavenI Give it all to you God, Trusting that you’ll make something beautiful out of meI will climb this mountain With my hands wide open

I cannot help but think God was affirming me by these words.  Rachel, this is your life.  You trust me with everything you have, therefore you will be successful.  You will climb the mountain and see what is at the top of all of this!  You’ve got this, because you have Me!
