There have only been 5 days in 2015, but it’s been good, friends.   I can’t fully put into words what all the Lord is doing in my heart, but I’m at this peace.   I have some sort of vision as to why I am here.   God is incredible, and 2015 is in fact the year for youth.  As I mentioned before, I would tell you in this blog about the future Americans moving over here.

This past week we had a team from Texas.   Not fully knowing their stories, they are called to moving to Draganesti to work with the youth.  The plan is for them to be over here in July of this year.   There are 2 families: Paul and Jessica have 3 children and then Brandon and Becky.  What’s incredible to me is the team here has been praying for more missionaries for the youth.   Not only this, there are some Romanians who are starting to get passionate for the youth.  We have always had a strong ministry for children and adults.   However, there hasn’t really been a whole lot for youth.   And these years are crucial.   If there is no Godly counsel in their lives during these years, chances are high that they will not receive Christ.

Just yesterday I asked Maria (13) what she thought about a group getting started for youth.    She looked at me with tears of joy and said, “I would come to every meeting!”   Friends and family, please pray for this process.   We know it is going to be a good year with starting a youth group, however with everything, there will be days of sorrow and pain.   There are so many youth (13-21) in this area.   What do they do for fun?   I’m not 100% sure; I’m not even 50% sure.   But, I am 100% sure that if some ministry was started for them, they would come.

It’s just so funny to me that when God puts a burden on your heart for someone or something, it will not leave if it’s truly God.    The burden that God gave me for Romania started a long time ago, but throughout a matter of 13 years, He has shown me more and more.    Please let this be an encouragement to you.   If you are waiting to hear from the Lord about what you are supposed to do, be patient.    He has given you what you currently have for a reason, so walk with confidence in that you are called by God.   To do what?   Serve Him, love Him and speak on behalf of Him.

I love you all!  If there is any way I can be praying for you or encouraging you, please let me know!

  1. Awesome, Rachel! So glad to hear that 2015 is off to a good start and the ministry is growing! Prayers coming your way! XO

  2. Rachel, Looking forward to perhaps meeting some of these youth on PVT. You are so right that now is the time for them to meet Jesus. Praying for you all there!

  3. This is both exciting and encouraging. It’s so true, the teen years and early 20’s is a time of confusion and growth. Finding their value in the Lord is vital and I know you’re heart is there for them. Go girl go!
