Have you ever laughed so hard that you start to cry?   Have you ever done it WITH GOD of all people?!

Friends/family, I am so moved by God and what He is doing here.  I know that I have mentioned to you all before that God literally has put me right where I need to be, however I didn’t tell you all of the crazy details of everything!

For years, I had been praying for my EXACT location: details of what my ministry would look like, the team I would work with, the characters of my future husband, and where it would be.  Ha, well God’s revealed so much of these things and He continues to reveal details every day…if I continue to keep my eyes on Him.

For the sake of this blog, I want to just touch on the ministry aspect.  For years, I had been praying that God would put me in a school district where I could teach, however the biggest effect that I would have within and on the school would be the opportunity to pray within the courtyards and classrooms.  When I first moved to Romania, I wasn’t 100% sure where God would take me, but I knew that my background in Speech Therapy would come in somewhere. Again, I had no idea how or when.

Last August, Marian Stoica…one of the missionaries on my missions team approached me and asked me if I would like to teach English in the kindergarten and 1st grade classes.  I immediately said sure wondering what would come of this opportunity.  (I completely failed to tell you this….a few months prior, I cried out to God saying “If you put me into a school district, that is where I will live and do ministry.”) Boy, oh boy…so many things have come out of this!

I started teaching 3 weeks ago and the number of relationships that have already been formed is incredible!  The Lord is using me teaching English the school to open up so many relationships with parents and older siblings!  I am so amazed that with only 3 weeks of English, all of this is already happening.

This past week, I taught facial body parts, you know eyes, ears, mouth, and nose.  As I was singing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” with the 1st graders, all of the parents walked in with so much joy on their faces; I know they were encouraged to see that their children were learning something.

Please pray for my students and their parents, that God will use the opportunity of me teaching in the school for His good.  Pray that they would know Jesus, as this is the most important thing that they need.  The impact that I could have in the schools is LARGE and I need your prayers!

I hope you enjoy the photos of my 1st grade class! Aren’t they cute?!

  1. It’s sweet that your own experience, of speech therapy, is being used to help others advance. Yep, that’s God, he uses our past to help others.
