Hello from Draganesti-Olt, Romania!

Those of you, who followed me on The World Race, know that the Lord had called me to this special place in Southern Romania called Draganesti-Olt.

What can I say that I haven’t already said prior to this?

I have been involved with Adventures in Missions (AIM) for the last 4 years at some level, either going on trips, Peru (Passport), The World Race or co-leading Parent Vision Trips (PVT).  I am now in Romania with AIM’s Long-Term Department.

What do I do here?

Ministry is always changing.  There’s always something new arising, but the majority of the ministry that God has called me to is speaking life into dry bones.  He has called me to bring healing to the nation of Romania.  I will be mainly working with children to young adults.  It is a dream of mine to teach young women about The Father.   I will also be doing some work with The World Race when they are here.

What else?

I’m passionate about learning languages.  I currently speak English (no duh!), Spanish, know a little American Sign Language (ASL) and am learning Romanian.  Praying I’m fluent really, really soon.

Something quirky or maybe just interesting?

My best friend’s name is Leah.  Yes, Leah and Rachel.  Does it remind you a little bit about a story in Genesis?  I don’t know if that’s quirky or simply, weird.

I ate balut once in the Philippines.  If you don’t know what it is, I advise you to look it up.  It’s definitely the weirdest and grossiest food I have eaten before in my life.

Any time I see Starbucks, I stop and get it.  I worked at Starbucks for 1 year and now I’m an addict with the closest Starbucks 2.5 hours away.

How do I know this is where I’m supposed to be?

This is a long story.  I will try to some it up in my first blog on this site.   It’s an incredible story and God is so alive in it!

Hopefully this gives you some input as to who I am or at least part of it 🙂
